AIRBUS staff will be furloughed for a week in June, it has been confirmed.
In a bid to help with the production costs, the business will make use of the Government scheme to safeguard jobs at the plant on the Chester-Flintshire border.
Since the pandemic started almost 1,000 jobs have been cut at the Broughton site as part of a national move by the aerospace giant.
An Airbus spokesman said: “Airbus continuously reviews optimal production levels and adapts its working arrangements accordingly.
“This latest decision to implement a period of furlough in week 23 (7-11 June) for Production and Production support teams is a continuation of that work and represents effective resource planning.”
