A RUSH-HOUR commuter road in Chester is closed this afternoon after a lamppost has been knocked over in a road traffic collision.
Delays and diversions are expected after the collision at the roundabout on one of the Chester Business Park exits.
Police, fire and ambulance teams have been deployed to the scene.
The road is closed on the A483 Wrexham Road heading towards the Posthouse Roundabout.
Chester Police have urged motorists: "Please avoid the A483 Wrexham Road by Chester Business Park in and out of Chester.
"The road will remain closed for sometime due to a downed street light in the road."
Traffic queues are building on Wrexham Road, past The King's School up to Ash Grove Farm Nursery.
