FIREFIGHTERS were called out after car burst into flames inside a garage in Ellesmere Port.
Crews arrived at the blaze in Thames Side shortly before 2pm today (May 9) and found the vehicle well alight.
The cause of the blaze is believed to be "mechanical failure".
Two fire engines attended – one from the town and one from Powey Lane.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters attended to reports of a car well alight inside a garage on Thames Side.
"Wearing breathing apparatus, a hose reel was used to put out the flames.
"Crews noticed fuel was leaking from the vehicle and wearing three breathing apparatus they used foam to soak it up.
"The vehicle was then removed from the garage.
"The fire is believed to have been caused by mechanical failure."
