AN Ellesmere Port man has admitted owning nearly 2,000 indecent photos and videos of children.

Adam James Conde, 29, of Atherton Road, pleaded guilty to six charges in relation to indecent and prohibited images and videos of children, plus a charge of possessing extreme pornography, when he appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, May 7.

The court heard Conde was in possession of 1,795 indecent photos of children, plus 107 videos.

Of those, there were 148 indecent images assessed as 'Category A' – the most serious category of indecent image.

Conde also pleaded guilty to distributing three 'Category A' indecent videos of children.

Prosecuting, Michael O'Kane said the police online child abuse investigation team attended Conde's address on September 3, 2018, seizing a number of devices.

The devices were forensically analysed and the indecent images and videos were found.

The indecent images and videos included children as young as five years old and involved sex acts with adults.

Mr O'Kane explained to magistrates that the most serious of the charges – distributing indecent videos – was an offence which was too serious to be sentenced at the magistrates court.

Defending, Adam Antoszkiw agreed the case was too serious to be sentenced by magistrates and said a pre-sentence report would be required for Conde.

Magistrates agreed and the case was adjourned for sentencing at Chester Crown Court on June 4.

Conde was made the subject of an interim order preventing him from contacting any children under the age of 16.
