FIREFIGHTERS were called out to what they believe was a deliberate fire in a wooded area in Ellesmere Port.
One fire crew attended the scene shortly before 7pm last night (Thursday, May 6) in Dolphin Crescent.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters used a water back pack to extinguish the small fire in a wooded area.
"The crew were detained for around 15 minutes.
"The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 981608 or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tua ."
