IT'S now been over three weeks since there was a coronavirus-related patient death at the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust, according to the latest NHS England data.

The last death to occur at the trust, which covers both the Chester and Ellesmere Port hospital sites, was sadly on April 10.

The latest available Government figures show there are now just three patients currently being treated by the trust, one of which is on ventilation.

In the latest 24-hour reporting period, a further seven Covid patient deaths were recorded by hospitals in England.

The deaths occurred between January 9 and May 1.

One of those deaths, which occurred on May 1, was registered by Warrington & Halton hospital trust.
