FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a lamppost on fire in a village on the outskirts of Chester.
One fire crew attended the scene shortly before 3pm today (Monday, May 3) in Chester Road, Kelsall.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire was out on arrival, but the crew used a thermal imaging camera to check the temperature of the lamppost.
"Firefighters remained at the scene until an electrician was able to attend to isolate the electric."
