A TEENAGER from Wrexham has been arrested following a reported "disturbance" involving youths at Chester Racecourse on Saturday night (April 24).
The incident was reported to Cheshire Police just after 9pm.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokesperson said officers had been called to the "disturbance at Chester Racecourse".
They added: "Officers attended the scene and found that a 16-year-old boy from Chester had been assaulted.
"The teenager sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for treatment, he has since been discharged.
"An 18-year-old man from Wrexham was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault in connection with the incident; he has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
"Enquiries in relation to the incident remain ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 972273, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tua.
