A NEW Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and bar in Chester city centre has confirmed that it will open its doors in June.

Artezzan is launching at the former Las Iguanas site on Pepper Street and will span two floors with 140 premium covers.

Chester will be the first "flagship" premises for the new brand which celebrates authentic Mediterranean flavours, service and atmosphere.

The Artezzan menu combines classic dishes from Italy, Spain, France and Greece, and includes tasty Spanish pinchos, homemade pizzas and pastas, quality grilled meats and seafood, and a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

The new restaurant and bar promises a wine list that will take guests on a journey, exploring the tastes and flavours that make the Mediterranean so unique.

The interior of the building will be contemporary and fresh with turquoise and blue hues giving a light and airy feel.

Operations Director Jim Dorrington, who has developed the brand and has plans to roll it out to more locations in the near future, said: "Although this past year has been very difficult for the hospitality sector, we feel that now is a great time to launch a new brand in the premium dining market.

"With the vaccine rollout going so well and the government roadmap on track we feel people will have confidence to eat out and return to some sort of ‘normal’.

"We just can’t wait to give guests a warm Artezzan welcome, introduce the amazing team, its fabulous food and drink and of course its Mediterranean atmosphere."
