CHESTER opera duo Belle Voci are looking forward to performing in front of a live audience once more this June.

The duo of Emily Burnett and Sophie Rowland, who reached the Finals of ITV’s The Voice, will be returning to Storyhouse Chester on June 18.

They have released two albums and a single that reached number one in the Classical chart. They have performed the national anthem at the FA Cup final at Wembley and have toured internationally.

Belle Voci are now looking forward to their first show of 2021, to be in their home town of Chester where the support has been unfailing.

Fans will see a brand new show with familiar favourite songs and a few beautiful opera arias people might not have come across yet.

The pair began this pandemic with their online concert filmed in Chester back in March 2020, raising money for the Covid-19 solidarity fund, and being streamed by fans across the globe.

They would like to end it by coming full circle and bringing a live show as an intimate evening of opera greats, musical theatre classics and modern songs, all accompanied by live pianist and vocalists.

The concert will be held at Storyhouse and will be socially distanced, enabling the audience to enjoy the event in a safe and Covid-friendly environment.

Tickets will be priced from £20 each from Storyhouse Box Office.

Belle Voci said: “After the year we have had, sitting down to write this new show together with a date to perform it already confirmed was the most incredible feeling.

"Having been in limbo with the rest of our industry, and indeed the world, for so long having a show to actually aim for and get excited for again is the best feeling.

"Performing is what we do and whilst we have kept our heads down and kept each other going all year, allowing ourselves to dream, plan, rehearse, write arrangements and find outfits again, everything we did so regularly before, is just all brilliant.

"We would like to thank every single person who has sent us messages of support or bought our CDs this year - you have been a lifeline.

"Let’s sing this lockdown out!”
