A COMMUNITY run pub on the outskirts of Chester is ready to welcome back customers on Monday.
The beer garden and marquee at the The Centurion, in Oldfield Drive, Vicars Cross, is all set to open at 2pm as covid-19 restrictions ease on April 12.
The well known pub was saved from the bulldozers by a community action group.
It is now run by the ‘community for the community’ following a determined fight to block plans that would have seen the pub demolished, with a 64-bed care home built in its place.
The venue tweeted: "Our fabulous beer garden and marquee is ready to open on Monday at 2pm.. join us for a couple."
