TWO Cheshire village pubs have confirmed that they will be reopening outdoors next week.

Both The Swan at Tarporley and The Lion at Malpas are set to welcome back customers on Friday, April 16.

The Bear Inns owned pubs will reopen for groups of up to six people or from two households – excluding children – every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon until 10pm.

Takeaway will be available during all service times until 9pm, while a small number of bedrooms will be available to book at both venues for ‘self contained’ leisure breaks and essential travel.

There will be BBQ, live background music, nibbles and freebies when both pubs reopen on April 16. Beer buckets, cocktail jugs and pub grub will also be on offer.

Both pubs have some covered spaces and big umbrellas as well as a big outside fire.

The Swan has recently renovated its bedrooms and interiors, while The Lion is still a relatively new pub having only opened last summer.
