TEAMS in the Chester & District Sunday Football League paid tribute to goalkeeper Josh Atkins over the weekend.
A minute's silence was held before each of Sunday's fixtures in memory of the 26-year-old FC Abbi Access player.
Josh, who was from the Saltney area, died in the early hours of March 28 following a collision on the A483 in Wrexham.
FC Abbi Access' game went ahead in his honour and they secured an emotional 6-0 away win at Travellers Rest.
The secretary of the Chester & District Sunday Football League said: "Josh had been a goalkeeper for several Lache/Saltney based teams in the Sunday League over the past nine years or so.
"Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family, friends and team mates at this time."
Josh was also well-known on the local football scene in North Wales having played for teams in Broughton, Buckley, Connah's Quay and Corwen.
