AN Ellesmere Port school has been given ten new laptops by the town's Asda store.
Cambridge Road Community Primary and Nursery School will be able to use the devices on site or issue them to children in the event of a class closure during the pandemic.
The supermarket giant teamed up with Dell Technologies back in January to provide 7,000 laptops to schools across the UK in communities which have been identified as struggling with digital exclusion.
The school was nominated to receive the laptops by year six teaching assistant Joanne Jones and with the support of Anne Pryor, who is the town's 'Asda community champion', an application was submitted.
On March 1, the headteacher was informed that the school had been chosen to receive 10 laptops and support bundles containing headphones and data to support children’s learning.
