NO further Covid deaths have been recorded by the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust in the latest 24-hour reporting period.

The last patient death registered by the trust occurred on March 22.

The latest NHS England data released this afternoon shows no deaths were reported at any of the county's hospitals during the latest one-day period.

The total number of Covid-19 patient deaths recorded in Cheshire's hospital trusts since the coronavirus pandemic began is:

  • Countess of Chester: 612
  • East Cheshire: 328
  • Mid Cheshire: 476
  • Warrington & Halton: 478
  • Total: 1,894

The daily NHS England data provides information on deaths of patients who have died in hospitals in England after testing positive for Covid-19, split by trust.

Across England, a further 18 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 86,194.

Patients were aged between 58 and 95 years old. All except one (age 62) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from March 20 to 28.

Their families have been informed.
