ONE further Covid patient death has been recorded by the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
NHS England data released this afternoon shows that the death sadly occurred on March 22.
It comes after two additional deaths were reported by the trust in yesterday's update.
The total number of Covid-19 patient deaths recorded in Cheshire's hospital trusts since the coronavirus pandemic began is:
Countess of Chester: 612
East Cheshire: 327
Mid Cheshire: 476
Warrington & Halton: 477
Total: 1,892
The daily NHS England data provides information on deaths of patients who have died in hospitals in England after testing positive for Covid-19, split by trust.
Across England, a further 98 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 85,980.
Patients were aged between 37 and 97 years-old.
All except two (aged 55 and 84 years) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from 30 October 2020 to 23 March 2021.
Their families have been informed.
