FIREFIGHTERS were called out to help rescue a calf that had fallen 10ft down a manhole in Cheshire.
Two fire crews, along with the rope rescue unit, attended the incident at about 8.30am today (Tuesday, March 2) at Yatehouse Lane, Northwich.
On arrival the crews found a calf about 10 foot down the manhole.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a detector to check for gas before using a line to rescue the calf from the manhole.
