THREE more Covid patient deaths were recorded by the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust in the latest 24-hour reporting period.

NHS England data shows that the deaths sadly occurred on February 23.

Elsewhere in the county, East Cheshire (1), Mid Cheshire (1) and Warrington & Halton (1) hospital trusts all registered additional deaths in the latest one-day period.

Across England, a further 254 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 82,410.

Patients were aged between 26 and 99 years old. All except 13 (aged 57 to 94 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 28 December 2020 to 24 February 2021, with the majority being on or after 20 February.

Their families have been informed.
