FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a fire involving a van in Helsby.
One fire crew from Frodsham were informed of smoke coming from under the bonnet of a stationary van in Dove Close, at about 1.50pm yesterday (Monday, February 22).
On arrival firefighters discovered that the smoke was caused by a fire in the vehicle's engine compartment.
They extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and then made the vehicle safe.
Firefighters were in attendance for about 20 minutes.
