TWELVE more Covid patient deaths were reported by Cheshire hospitals over the weekend.
NHS England data released on Saturday and Sunday showed that two additional deaths had been recorded by the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust.
Both patients sadly died on Friday, February 19.
Elsewhere in the county, East Cheshire (4), Mid Cheshire (3) and Warrington & Halton (3) hospital trusts also reported further deaths.
The total number of Covid-19 patient deaths recorded in Cheshire's hospital trusts since the coronavirus pandemic began is:
Countess of Chester: 581
East Cheshire: 308
Mid Cheshire: 465
Warrington & Halton: 446
Total: 1,800
The daily NHS England data provides information on deaths of patients who have died in hospitals in England after testing positive for Covid-19, split by trust.
Meanwhile, 48 more cases of Covid-19 were recorded across Cheshire West and Chester in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
In the seven-day period up to February 16, the weekly infection rate for the borough now stands at 133.5 per 100,000 people.
