CHESHIRE Police officers will be out patrolling key areas today as part of the current lockdown.
The force took to social media to say they will continue to engage and explain with the public.
The post on Twitter read: "We must not be complacent, please stick to the rules - don’t be one of the few who are not."
It comes after Cheshire West and Chester Council urged families to stay at home during the half term in a bid to stop the spread of covid-19.
They were reminded not to visit or mix with other households to contain the spread of coronavirus.
A spokesman for the council said: "When outdoors for daily exercise keep a social distance from others and wash your hands as soon as you come back indoors. You should not travel to second homes or holiday homes and only stay in your local area when leaving your home.
"Around one in three people who get infected with COVID-19 do not show symptoms and so can unknowingly pass on the virus. If parents need to leave home to work, they can get a regular symptom-free test at Stanney Oaks Leisure Centre, in Ellesmere Port and Winsford Lifestyle Centre.
"If you live in a household with anyone under 14, you can form a ‘childcare bubble’ if needed. This allows friends or family from one other household to provide informal childcare."
