POPULAR craft beer bar chain BrewDog could soon be opening a premises in Chester.

Co-founder of the Scottish brewer, James Watt, has confirmed on Twitter account that the city is one of 42 new worldwide sites that the company is currently working on.

He posted an artist impression of the Scottish firm's new bar in Atlanta before going on to include Chester in a list of new ventures.

The tweet states: "Working on this amazing new site in Atlanta.

"This is one of 42 new BrewDog locations we are working on!

"Others include Belfast, London, Paris, Vegas, Bath, Exeter, Mumbai, Sydney, Amsterdam, Berlin, Frankfurt, Gurgaon, Lyon, Milan, Chester, Durham, Hyderabad & Cleveland."

James Watt co-founded BrewDog with Martin Dickie back in 2007 and three years later the pair opened their first craft beer bar in their home town of Aberdeen.

The award-winning chain now has scores of bars worldwide as well as hotels in Columbus and Aberdeen.
