FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning to a large vehicle blaze on the M53 in Ellesmere Port.
Two fire engines attended – one from Ellesmere Port and another from Powey Lane – at around 6am.
The blaze, which was out when the crews arrived, occurred near to the Overpool area.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 6am firefighters were called to reports of a large vehicle fire on the M53 near Overpool.
"The fire was out on arrival, but crews used a hose reel jet to cool the rear axel, they also used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
"The crews were detained at the scene for around 30 minutes."
