PLANS have been lodged to turn part of a vacant Chester city centre building into a six-bedroom hotel.
The proposal is earmarked for the two upper floors of Moray House in Watergate Street, above cocktail bar Lono Cove.
The change of use application has been put forward by Chester-based Lily Parmar Ltd.
If approved, the hotel would provide six rooms, including a family room, and create three jobs – two full-time roles and one part-time position .
It is believed that the two upper floors of the building were last in use prior to 2016.
The application proposes a change of use from Class A2 financial and professional services to Class C1 hotel accommodation.
In a brief planning statement, Joshua Parmar of Lily Parmar Ltd says: "This planning application is for change of use. There will be no changes to the roof, elevations or exterior of the property.
"Only interior/cosmetic changes. The floor plan is also to remain the same."
