TEN people have been fined for Covid breaches after police patrols caught vehicles meeting up near Chester amid reports litter and 'laughing gas' canisters were being left in the area.
Officers targeted Lodge Lane in Saughall over the weekend after receiving reports that vehicles were gathering at the A494 bypass bridge and leaving behind the mess.
In total, ten fixed penalty notices for Covid breaches were issued.
Cheshire Constabulary's Saughall & Mollington and Elton Police Facebook page posted today: "Due to reports of vehicles attending at Bypass Bridge on Lodge Lane leaving behind litter and Nitrous Oxide canisters, our night patrols gave the location passing attention over the weekend.
"Resulting in 10 Fixed Penalty Notices issued for Covid-19 breaches."
