REMEDIAL works are to take place at the Chester Bus Interchange.

The indication of works, seen in the Public Notices section of The Standard this week, has been announced by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

As a result of the works, due to begin on February 1, there will be traffic restrictions on the entry slip road on to the Chester Bus Interchange from St Oswald's Way.

A through road will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access should find an alternative route via St Oswald's Way, Fountains Roundabout, Delamere Street, Victoria Road, George Street and Gorse Stacks.

The works are expected to take two weeks to complete.

  • ROAD resurfacing works are due to take place on a number of west Cheshire roads over the next few months.

Works will take place between February 1 and June. Each road will be closed for a maximum of 14 days, either on consecutive days or separate depending on the site, weather conditions and the works required.

Cheshire West and Chester Council says advanced warning signs will be placed on site at least five days before each respective works are carried out, and will be in effect Monday-Sunday.

The roads affected are:

  • Breezehill Road, Neston – From Hinderton Road to Raby Park Road
  • Stocks Lane, Chester – From Christleton Road to Dee Banks
  • Dee Banks, Chester – From Stocks Lane to Sandy Lane
  • Pipers Lane, Hoole – From Hoole lane to Hoole Road
