FANCY becoming a trustee for Action Transport Theatre in Ellesmere Port?

The charity currently has spaces available for three new trustees to join its thriving team.

They are particularly keen to hear from people with expertise in areas including financial management, HR, legal, venue management, and artistic and community practice.

Action Transport Theatre is entering a new era as it presses forward with plans to transform its Whitby Hall venue.

Last month the organisation was awarded a £82,476 'Capital Kickstart' grant as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund.

The much-needed cash injection will enable it to push on with its plans for a new theatre and cultural centre at Whitby Hall, which it says will significantly contribute to the Covid recovery and position a new programme of arts and culture for local children, young people and families.

If you're interested in becoming a trustee email artistic director Nina Hajiyianni for an informal discussion at nina@actiontransporttheatre.org.

You will then be invited to submit a short letter of application and CV by January 27. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet the board virtually, via Zoom, on February 3.
