POLICE seized a car at a Dudley nature reserve after a driver failed to stop.
Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station saw the pictured Vauxhall car having been looking for the vehicle for a few days after a high value theft and other suspicious incidents.
The driver failed to stop, Dudley PC Jamie Follows said, and officers pursued the car to Saltwells Nature Reserve, Netherton.
A foot chase followed after four occupants from the vehicle made off.
Officers caught two of them but they were later released after officers "established the stolen items had been returned on the following day" and no illegal items were found - PC Follows said.
The car was seized under the Road Traffic Act.
