DUDLEY Council's gritters have been out again this morning with snow and ice warnings in place for the rest of the day.

The council's 65-strong team has been swinging into action once again to help keep the borough's roads clear - with the Met Office's yellow weather warning of snow and ice expected to remain in place until midnight tonight.

Forecasters say icy stretches are likely to form which could lead to possible travel disruption and there may be more snow for some places.

Dudley Council said this morning that refuse collections continue to run but there may be delays due to the bad weather.

A warning of ice is expected to remain in place for much of the country tomorrow (Saturday) too.
