A FIRE crew from Tarporley were called out after a car collided with a tree on a main road in Cheshire, leaving a man seriously injured.
On arrival firefighters found that a blue Peugeot 206 car had hit a tree on Nantwich Road, Chorley, shortly after 9am this morning (Wednesday, January 6).
Another fire crew from Nantwich attended as well as Cheshire Police and the air ambulance.
Firefighters liaised with paramedics and extricated the driver, a man, from the vehicle by removing the roof.
The crews then passed the casualty into the care of paramedics. He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
