BROTHERS at a Chester school are celebrating achieving black belts in tae kwon-do.

The Firs Prep School pupils Bankole Smith from Year 4 and Temi Smith from Year 6 have been training at Universal Taekwondo Academies, based in Bromborough and Hoole.

They train under Master Richard Saunders, 7th degree black belt and Master Richard Jones, 6th degree black belt, who are both previous world champions.

Rosemary Blackburn, headteacher at The Firs Prep School, said: “I would like to congratulate both the boys on an incredible achievement!

"A huge amount of hard work, dedication and commitment went into these awards and they are very well deserved.

"At The Firs Prep School we like to encourage all pupils to follow their passion and reach their full potential."
