A POPULAR restaurant is coming to Cheshire Oaks.

Mowgli Street Food was first launched in 2014 in Liverpool by founder Nisha Katona, who wanted to build an eatery serving the kind of food Indians eat at home and on the street.

She gave up her 20-year career as a barrister to do so and, following the launch of Mowgli Liverpool, nine more restaurants across the UK followed.

Now Nisha, writing on Mowgli's Instagram page, has revealed the next restaurant launch will be at the McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, with the opening scheduled for spring 2021.

She wrote: "So happy to be able to share some good news-green shoots of growth and hope nudging up through these autumn days. Mowgli Cheshire Oaks will be coming to you this spring!

"I searched high and low for place to take Mowgli to my home crowds of Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales. Cheshire Oaks sits slap bang in the middle of the places I hang out.

"Wheelchair friendly for Ma, dog friendly for the girls and creating at least 40 new jobs in these days of need.

"We will be looking for a house charity with whom to share our journey. This journey that right now, takes every ounce of faith and courage and hope.

"And our biggest hope is that you will ride this out with us dear Mowglites...for you got us this far."

Since launching, Mowgli has raised nearly £750,000 for national and regional charities.

Nisha added that charity suggestions should be emailed to zara@mowglisf.com .

In 2018 Mowgli was awarded a placement in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list, and last year Nisha was recognised with an MBE in the 2019 New Year Honours list for services to the food industry.
