THE season is less than a month old but alarm bells are already ringing at Wrexham.

Dean Keates' side crashed out of the FA Cup as they were thrashed 4-0 by National League rivals Solihull Moors at Damson Park.

It was the Reds' third defeat in a row with nine goals conceded in the process.

Eight of those have come in the last two losses and although deserved winners, Solihull could have triumphed by a bigger margin.

Wrexham only trailed 1-0 at the break but when they conceded a second goal on the hour mark, the Reds capitulated.

It was a dreadful performance with few chances created and Wrexham again looking shaky at the back.

Here's how the players rated:

ROB LAINTON: Beaten four times but it would have been a heavier defeat without some crucial saves. 3

JAMES HORSFIELD: Came in for his first start of season and Wrexham still leaked goals despite the change. 2

FIACRE KELLEHER: Wrexham's defensive frailties were exposed again, and they could have lost by more. 2

THEO VASSELL: Lost possession at times to leave Reds on the back foot and found it tough going. 2

JAMIE RECKORD: A willing attacker as left-back but Wrexham need to shore up the defence. 2

JORDAN DAVIES: The sitting midfielder showed some early nice touches but not in the game second half. 2

ELLIOTT DURRELL: Clumsy challenge gave away the penalty from which Solihull scored their second goal. 2

JAY HARRIS: Tried to get his side going but the Reds were second best in all departments. 2

LUKE YOUNG: Lively first half showing but Wrexham weren't in it after going 2-0 down. 2

DAN JARVIS: First half shot was saved with one of Wrexham's rare chances, substituted when it was 3-0. 2

ADI YUSSUF: Set up Jarvis for his opportunity but the lone striker found it difficult on his own. 2

KWAME THOMAS: Unable to impose himself on the game. 2

REECE HALL-JOHNSON: Came on when damage had been done. 2
