A FURTHER two coronavirus patients have died at Warrington Hospital since yesterday.
Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust confirmed the deaths at the Lovely Lane site today, Thursday.
The news comes just 24 hours after it was announced six more patients had died after testing positive for the virus.
This brings the total number of deaths relating to Covid-19 at the trust to 168.
A total of 116 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated at Warrington Hospital, one more since yesterday, Wednesday, 15 of which are in intensive care.
Since the start of the pandemic, WHH has tested 29,189 people with 1,809 tests coming back positive.
Overall, 540 patients have since been discharged after recovering from the virus in hospital.
