A BELOVED family dog who went missing in Chester this week has been found safe and well.
Bertie, who is a wirehaired, mini Dachshund cross Jack Russell, got lost after chasing a bird during a walk near the Chester Zoo site on Wednesday evening.
Animal Search UK 'pet detectives' have been conducting searches of the area where Bertie was last seen, using thermal imaging cameras, over the past two days.
The largest lost and found pet organisation in the UK confirmed this morning that Bertie had now been found and shared the moment he was reunited with his owner.
