AN ELDERLY victim of a fraud has lost £6,000 of his life savings, police say.
North Wales Police says the elderly man, from Caergwrle, lost the money to a phone fraudster claiming to be his bank.
The fraudster told him he had to transfer it to a "safe account" and "not to mention it to anyone".
Police are warning people that banks won't do this and to alert elderly neighbours/relatives to the scam.
