A SOFA on fire in an Ellesmere Port playing field was extinguished by firefighters on Saturday, September 26.
The incident off Lime Street was reported to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service at 10.15pm.
One fire engine from Ellesmere Port attended. Upon arrival, the crew found a small sofa on fire on the playing field.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and were in attendance for less than 15 minutes.
