A HOTEL and restaurant on The Coliseum Leisure Park, Ellesmere Port had to be evacuated on Sunday night (September 20) due to a fire.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to the incident at the Travelodge Cheshire Oaks on Coliseum Way at 8.46pm.
Two fire engines were deployed to the scene.
On arrival, crews evacuated the restaurant and hotel at the five-storey building as a precaution, while firefighters dealt with the small fire involving a booth on an external porch.
Firefighters initially used a short extension ladder and a thermal imaging camera to assess the fire.
They then extinguished it with water before cutting away materials affected by it.
A thermal imaging camera was used to monitor temperatures.
Firefighters left the scene once they were satisfied that it was safe.
They were in attendance for around an hour and 10 minutes.
