Firefighters were called out to a blaze involving a double garage and two sheds at a property in a village near Chester.

Two fire crews attended to the fire in Greaves Lane, Threapwood, Malpas, at about 11.50am today (Thursday, September 17).

A water supply was established, a cordon was set up and the road was closed.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus each used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Once the fire was out debris was removed and the area was damped down to make it safe.

Temperatures were monitored with a thermal imaging camera.

Firefighters left the scene once they were satisfied that it was safe.

They were in attendance for about two hours and 15 minutes.
