COUNTESS of Chester Country Park has won a prestigious award.
The beauty spot was yesterday (September 15) named 'Educational Site of the Year' at The Land Trust's annual awards.
The Friends of Countess of Chester Country Park were also delighted to be 'highly commended' in the 'Friends Group of the Year' awards category.
The Land Trust is a national charity that deals with the long-term management and sustainable funding of public open green spaces as community and environmental assets
The Friends of Countess of Chester Country Park tweeted: "We were delighted to find out today that at The Land Trust Awards Ceremony, the Countess of Chester Country Park won the Education Site of the Year for 2020.
"We were also chuffed to be highly commended as the Friends Group of the Year. Thank you to all who have supported us."
