A SHORT film documenting messages of hope written by a group of budding writers in Ellesmere Port during the coronavirus lockdown will be available to watch this evening (September 14).

The project entitled 'Love Letters To The Town' gave members of the Action Transport Young Writers' Company the opportunity to showcase their writing and spread positivity in the local area.

The online writing sessions ran between May and August, and the company have now made a short film to document the messages, one of which includes the line: "Hello. We're old friends you and I. I've lived my whole life here. We've been side by side. You've been here for longer than I can ever imagine..."

Some of the letters were left around Whitby Park for people to read.

The film is premiering simultaneously on Action Transport Theatre's Facebook and YouTube channels today at 6pm.
