AN Ellesmere Port man found guilty of two sex attacks on a woman has received a suspended prison term.
Stephen Gratrix, 54, was found guilty of the two offences following a two-day trial at Chester Crown Court earlier this year, and not guilty on a charge of attempted rape.
The sexual assaults happened in the early hours of August 18, 2018 at Gratrix's home address, when Gratrix kissed the woman without her consent, and he touched her breasts under her clothing.
At sentencing at Chester Crown Court on Monday, September 7, Gratrix was handed a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and placed on a rehabilitation activity requirement.
He was placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years and was handed a 10-year restraining order preventing contact with his victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
