FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a fire outside flats in Chester.
One fire engine from Chester, one fire engine from Ellesmere Port and the aerial ladder appliance from Chester attended to the blaze in Dorset Place, Newton, shortly after midday yesterday (Saturday, September 5).
The fire was in the ground floor bin compartment.
Crews used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
They then checked the flats for any fire spread or damage using a thermal imaging camera
Crews were in attendance for about three hours.
