A SKIP hire business has given grand support to Chester Zoo.
Alan’s Skip Hire, based in Bretton, Flintshire, visited Chester Zoo to donate a total of £1,000 raised with the firm's 'Save The Zoo With Skip Hire'.
Throughout June, Alan’s Skip Hire allowed customers to save £5 on skip hire with their ZOOHELP promo code, and then for every customer who used the code, ASH matched the discount with a £5 donation to the zoo.
ASH Group marketing manager John Driffield said: “The response to our ZOO Help campaign has been fantastic.
“As soon as we heard of the difficulties the zoo was facing with the forced closure because of Covid-19, we wanted to do everything we can to help.
"The general public have rallied behind our campaign, with people even forfeiting their discount on a skip to donate £10 direct to the zoo.
"We are really proud of all our customers and staff who have pushed our promotion and we are delighted to present £1,000 to the zoo to support their fantastic work."
The Chester Zoo 'Save Our Zoo' campaign has so far raised over £2.7 million from well over 100,000 fundraisers, to protect the daily conservation work they undertake in the care and conservation of over 35,000 animals.
