FIREFIGHTERS helped rescue three motorists after a crash closed a section of a main road near Chester.
Two fire engines attended the scene of the accident shortly after 5pm yesterday (Friday, August 28) on Whitchurch Road, Tattenhall.
On arrival the crews assessed the scene and released the three drivers, one man and two women, from their vehicles.
They were all passed into the care of North West Ambulance Service paramedics for precautionary checks.
Whitchurch Road was closed for a short time while oil was cleared from the roadway.
The crews then made the scene safe and were in attendance for around an hour and a half.
