FIREFIGHTERS were called out to help rescue a man trapped in a van on its side in a village near Chester.
At about 8.40pm yesterday (August, 26) two fire crews attended the scene of the crash in Duckington Lane, Tilston, Malpas.
The vehicle was on its side on arrival.
The road was closed by the police as emergency services worked at the scene.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The casualty was assessed by paramedics before firefighters used specialist equipment to get him out of the van via a window.
"He was then handed over to the care of the paramedics. Firefighters also made the van safe.
"They were in attendance for more than an hour."
