FIVE more cases of coronavirus were recorded in west Cheshire in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
Government data released shortly before 6pm yesterday (August 10) revealed that the number of people with at least one lab-confirmed positive Covid-19 test result in the Cheshire West and Chester area was now 2,073.
The previous 24-hour reporting period had seen three new cases recorded.
Elsewhere, Cheshire East has a total of 2,284 confirmed cases, with Halton recording 717, Warrington 1,370, and Wirral 2,085.
Across the UK, there were 816 further cases of coronavirus recorded in the latest 24-hour reporting period, bringing the total number of people with at least one lab-confirmed positive Covid-19 test result to 311,641.
England has a total of 269,011 cases, with Northern Ireland recording 6,140, Scotland 19,027, and Wales 17,463.
