THREE more men have pleaded guilty to being part of a drug gang which supplied cocaine and heroin in Chester and Ellesmere Port.

The trio appeared at Chester Crown Court via videolink on Tuesday, July 28, to enter their guilty pleas to two charges of conspiracy to supply the class A drugs.

It follows hearings at the same court earlier this month when a total of 12 men pleaded guilty to the same charges.

Daniel Winning, 33, of Talbot Road, Frodsham and Jake Cunnah, 31, of Saughall Road, Chester, admitted the two charges, which happened between September 1, 2019 and June 16, 2020.

Wayne Galland, 52, of Nicholas Street, Chester, also pleaded guilty to the two charges. He also admitted breaching his criminal behaviour order by entering Brook Street, Chester.

Honorary Recorder of Chester Judge Steven Everett said there would be a hearing on the week beginning August 24, when a date for sentencing would be set so all the defendants who had pleaded guilty would "know their fate" long before a trial took place for other defendants who had pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The court heard the sentencing date was likely to be mid- to late September.

All three were remanded in custody.

  • Robert Greenway, 37, of Mallory Road, Ellesmere Port, has pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to supply cocaine and diamorphine (heroin). His case was adjourned until August, when a trial date would be arranged, which the court heard was likely to be around April 2021.
