A CHESTER beauty salon is celebrating being back in business in its landmark year.

Daydreams beauty salon on Bridge Street Row was due to celebrate in April, marking 25 years since it opened in the former Stage Door hairdressers in 1995.

But the coronavirus pandemic lockdown meant there was sadly no chance to celebrate at the time, with the business having to close its doors to the public like all beauty salons across the UK.

However, now lockdown restrictions have finally eased, the business has been able to reopen officially last week.

Salon owner Jane Furnival said while there are plans to celebrate the salon's silver anniversary later this year, for now it was great to see loyal customers once more, with appointment bookings flying in.

Jane especially wanted to Thank Tami Rowland (nail technician) and Sue Edwards (reception) and all the previous staff along the way as well as loyal clients who have actually been visiting the salon for 25 years.

Like all beauty salons, Daydreams will be able to offer its full range of top-to-toe beauty treatments from August 1 as the coronavirus restrictions are eased further.

The salon is also welcoming back customers who have had to shield themselves since the lockdown first began in March, as Jane said there is one customer who is visiting the salon on August 1, the first day they no longer have to self-isolate.

Jane and Tami would like to reassure eveyone the safety measures, such as visors, masks and sanitiser, are in place for their professional pampering.

Jane added Daydreams, which grew up in Stage Door before becoming independent, will continue to be "a secret haven of beauty" in Chester, located in the alley on Bridge Street Row above King Kabs.
