A LARGE emergency service presence attended an incident in Chester this evening (July 22).
Posts on social media just before 8pm reported numerous police and ambulance vehicles attending the city centre.
The Standard understands a man has been injured in an incident near the city walls.
An air ambulance was also seen landing on Dean's Field.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 7.45pm firefighters were notified of a man having fallen down an embankment in the Frodsham Street area of Chester.
"On arrival the casualty was being assessed by paramedics.
"Firefighters used line rescue equipment to help paramedics get the casualty into an ambulance.
"They were in attendance for less than half-an-hour. An air ambulance also attended."
